Progression

Progression is a necessary key component for all humans. Without progression, we wouldn't have evolved to where we are today. We would even still be using sticks and rocks to fight each other. Progression derives from past mistakes and failures. When we get back up to fix our mistakes, we demonstrate progression in ourselves. This, however, is just a small update to show the progression I've obtained after some revisions.

So far I got my draft and did multiple revisions in some parts of it. I kept my first paragraph and deleted the rest because the first paragraph was all I needed. The reason being is that I had both causes and consequences in possible reasons for swearing. I decided to remove the consequences since I didn't go in-depth with them. I then created a better introduction and changed some aspects of the questions to be more open. I still struggled with the conclusion but finally made it to where it was left open for the reader to perhaps pick up upon.

Off of the progress I've made already I feel pretty confident. It's a very unique and outside of what we were told to do in high school yet, it is a fun and interesting assignment. I am very glad that we are not doing assignments like research and argumentative papers. Though I know it is just a matter of time.

Another thing that I would like to note is that it's ok to be afraid of progression. Progression can be easily linked to change and not everyone is ready for constant change to occur around them. I can also understand that people just want things that are constant in their life with no worry of change. Here is an article about photophobia that I found interesting. I do hope that you go and take a look.

  1. I had to make a lot of changes to my paper and also struggled the most with the conclusion. Once I made adjustments, however, I also felt more confident and liked how my paper turned out. In retrospect, I think I liked writing the microtheme more than an argumentative essay as well.
