Challenging
In life, we are always faced with challenges. No matter if you are in school or living your life there will always be challenges that we all will face. People would immediately think that these challenges are just a hassle but in reality, we need challenges for us to improve and grow as a person. Also, failure to overcome these challenges shouldn't pull us down. Making mistakes is ok, quitting and avoiding the challenge all entirely from one failure is what makes losers.
In my college writing class, we were given our first assignment, the Micro theme. Right off the bat, I saw some challenges when opposed to this unique form of writing. One of the challenges was thinking up open-ended questions. At first, I thought the task was difficult but when I started brainstorming ideas I came up with two questions. One of the questions I came up with is "Why are people subconsciously racist even though we know racism is wrong?" It was a bit of a stretch but my other question was much better. It was, Why do we swear when we know it's bad?
I then was faced with some new challenges after picking the right question. I struggled with creating a good introduction but what stood out was coming up with causes as to why we swear. Another challenge I faced was the conclusion. It was hard finding a way to solve the problem but not directly. It also didn't help much because I didn't read the rubric. Which I later found here:
